Located within the original 1800s lifeboat station, the project transformed a historic waterfront building into a modern, fully operational facility to support the RNLI’s lifesaving work.
The completed station includes a purpose-built boat hall for the D class lifeboat, first floor crew training space, offices, welfare facilities, and dedicated changing and kit storage areas. The new facility replaces the previous Coronation Park station, which was constrained by limited space and challenging launch arrangements.
