Ensure your electricals are up to date with EX2 Electrical
Whatever industry you work in, we know how important it is to ensure your electrical systems follow the latest legislation and are maintained properly. As well as risking safety, non-compliance can lead to penalties, costing your business and potentially damaging your reputation.
Whether it’s a planned installation, maintenance or a short-notice repair job, our engineers are equipped with the latest tablet technology enabling them to complete and submit job sheets remotely. All certification is also completed remotely for efficient reporting.

Electrical condition reports
Damaged electrical items can create safety hazards — but signs of damage aren’t always obvious. From light switches and plug sockets to fuse boxes, it’s vital to get electrical items checked by a professional at least once every 10 years.
You need to ensure your building meets the UK Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
We can carry out electrical condition reports to:
- Inspect your electricals
- Report any wear and tear that may impact safety
- Recommend next steps to repair or replace damaged items
- Identify any elements that don’t meet IET Wiring Regulations
- Provide important documentation for future inspection testing
Emergency lighting testing and verification
Every workplace must provide escape lighting to help employees and visitors exit the building in the case of an emergency. After the initial installation, you also have a legal obligation to get your emergency lighting tested periodically.
The EX2 team can check and verify your emergency lighting to make sure it meets regulations and has no faults.
Fire alarm and security systems
An effective fire alarm system is vital in any building, regardless of what sector you’re in. Gain peace of mind knowing that your fire alarm is in full working order. Not only will a compliant fire alarm alert building occupants to a fire but regular servicing will also reduce the risk of false alarms.
To comply with regulations (BS 5839 Part 1), your fire alarm must be covered by a maintenance routine and be inspected every 6 months. We can install the right fire alarm for your needs and ensure they’re maintained properly.
We can also guide you in installing the best security systems for your premises.
Fault-finding
Are you concerned about an electrical fault but unsure what the root cause is? We have expert knowledge in identifying and diagnosing all kinds of electrical faults. From damaged wiring to broken sockets, we’ll get to the heart of the problem quickly and efficiently.
Once identified, we’ll advise you on the best action to take to resolve the issue and carry out repairs.
Minor works
It’s important that any additions or alterations made to existing electrical circuits comply with the BS 7671 regulation and don’t impact the safety of the existing installation.
Our electrical contractors and engineers can carry out repairs that adhere to British Standards so you can feel confident knowing the issue has been resolved safely.
