Accelerating decarbonisation in the social housing sector
August 2025
EX2 is pleased to announce our successful appointment to the Greener Futures Partnership (GFP) and Pretium Frameworks Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) – a key national procurement vehicle designed to accelerate decarbonisation in the social housing sector.
Under this framework, EX2 Group will be providing and installing:
- Heating Solutions
- Lighting Solutions
- Energy Generation Solutions
- EV Charging Systems
- Energy Storage Solutions
- Whole House Solutions – South West
The DPS, developed by Contracting Authority Abri on behalf of GFP and managed by Pretium Frameworks, offers a compliant, flexible procurement route for local authorities, registered providers, and other public sector bodies.
GFP is a collaboration between five housing associations: Abri, Anchor, Home Group, Hyde Group, and Sanctuary who collectively own over 300,000 homes, representing 9% of the total UK social housing market - as well as commercial and community buildings.
The purchasing system is designed to complement existing GFP frameworks and enable quick, direct access to pre-qualified suppliers with the capability to deliver large-scale, technically complex, retrofit and energy efficiency projects. Unlike fixed frameworks, the DPS remains open to new entrants, ensuring it reflects the latest technological developments in renewable energy, storage, and low-carbon building services.
Martyn Beale Managing Director EX2 Group, said:
“We are really pleased to be on board and delivering through the Greener Futures Partnership. Our appointment demonstrates EX2’s proven capacity to design and deliver complete low-carbon systems at scale with a range of solutions that include solar PV and battery storage integration, EV charging infrastructure and heating options.
We understand the operational and asset management challenges faced by local authorities, and we bring the technical expertise, project management capability and supply chain resilience to meet them head-on.”
With the DPS running until October 2028, EX2 is positioned to work in partnership with providers of housing, commercial buildings and infrastructure throughout the south west to deliver net zero-aligned retrofit strategies, improve EPC ratings, and deliver measurable reductions in carbon emissions, as well as benefitting occupants with greater comfort and reduced running costs.
