Team fundraising
September 2025
Staff from Exeter-based electrical and building services contractor EX2 Group have been raising funds for local charities this month, taking part in two community initiatives.
Cream Teas for Cancer
Cream Teas for Cancer fundraiser organised by FORCE Cancer Charity, which provides support services for people affected by cancer across Devon. Staff marked the occasion at the company’s Exeter office, with donations raised through the event going directly to FORCE’s work in the region.
It’s A Knockout
EX2 Group also fielded a team in the Taylor Lewis It’s A Knockout competition at Winslade Park, where 30 businesses competed in races, water challenges and fancy dress to raise money for Julian House and Cornwall Hospice Care.
Part of the community
With public sector clients placing importance on social value in procurement, and EX2 valuing teamwork, EX2 make initiatives like these integral to their way of working. The company currently employs 45 staff and 10 apprentices, and alongside its core electrical and mechanical services, it supports local charities and skills development as part of its wider role in the community.
Managing Director James Freemantle said:
“As a business rooted in the South West, it's fantastic to support local charities that mean so much to our industry and staff.
Supporting charities like FORCE, Julian House and Cornwall Hospice Care is part of how we give back to the same communities where we deliver projects. What is important to our clients is also important to our team - contributing directly to stronger local communities as well as achieving high-quality technical outcomes.”
