Supporting Exeter City FC Following Fire at St James Park
December 2025
Did you catch us on ITV West Country in December?
EX2 Group has been working around the clock to support Exeter City Football Club following the fire at St James Park on 12 November. The incident caused significant damage to electrical cabling and switching systems, putting upcoming home fixtures at risk. As long-standing supporters and proud sponsors of the club, we were determined to help get operations back on track as quickly and safely as possible.
A Coordinated Effort to Restore Power and Safety
This has been a genuine team effort. While Arque Ltd refitted damaged internal areas and CCTV systems were reinstated, EX2 Group mobilised up to six engineers, working 12-hour days, to ensure all electrical systems could be restored and tested ahead of this Saturday’s match.
Our work included:
- Replacing critical cabling between the Adam Stansfield Stand, medical rooms and the control room
- Carrying out essential repairs to fire-damaged systems
- Completing rigorous testing across surrounding circuits to guarantee full confidence in matchday operations
By rerouting internal resources and drawing on our supply chain relationships, the team secured materials at speed and kept repair costs as low as possible for the club.
“Our priority has been to minimise disruption for the club”
“As long-standing sponsors of the club, we rerouted internal resources and leveraged our supply chain to secure all necessary materials at speed. Our priority has been to minimise repair costs for the club and give them the best possible chance of completing the works quickly enough to host the next home match. We are working closely with the club’s management team and other key partners to ensure the repairs are completed safely and efficiently.”
