As Managing Director of EX2 Group, Martyn leads with a strong commitment to maintaining the company’s client-focused ethos. His focus is on sustainable growth – ensuring projects are delivered on time, to a high standard, and within agreed budgets, while continuing to strengthen trusted relationships with clients and partners.

With a career spanning roles in Estimating, Project Management and Senior Management positions across both local and national M&E contractors, Martyn brings extensive experience in building services engineering. He is a highly capable and credible leader with a proven track record delivering complex projects up to £1.5m in value across a wide range of sectors.

James co-founded EX2 Group in 2010, driven by a passion for high-quality engineering and operational excellence. As Operations Director, he serves as an Authorised Person for low-voltage systems and leads the company’s NICEIC accreditation, ensuring robust compliance and industry best practice across all projects.

James began his career as an electrical apprentice, quickly progressing to Approved Electrician status and delivering several high-profile projects. He later gained major live-site experience as a Site Supervisor for a national contractor on a multi-million-pound new hospital development – expertise he has brought into the heart of EX2’s delivery capability.

Shane is EX2 Group’s Commercial Director, bringing over 30 years’ experience in commercial management and quantity surveying across the construction industry. Before joining EX2 Group in 2022, he held senior roles within a Tier 1 contractor, successfully delivering projects of varying scale across multiple sectors throughout the Southwest.

Shane leads the commercial function and supports our operational teams. His extensive experience – from project-level commercial management to regional oversight – plays a key role in supporting EX2’s sustainable growth. Through clear processes, transparency, and balanced commercial leadership, he helps ensure the business continues to develop responsibly while maintaining strong, long-term partnerships with clients and our supply chain.
