EX2 Group has successfully led and completed a £10 million electrical engineering project at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford), marking the culmination of one of the most technically challenging infrastructure upgrades undertaken in a live acute healthcare environment in recent years.

EX2 carried out the supply and installation of replacement switch panel, 200Kva generator and renewed incoming main electrical supply.

With the existing switchgear reaching the end of life and to reduce the ongoing risk of failure and disruption to critical hospital operations it was necessary to replace the main switch panel serving the hospital.

With the existing panel suffering from parts failure and reaching the end of the life it was necessary to replace the switchgear feeding a number of outlying buildings across the main hospital site.

With a rare opportunity to take advantage of a decanted ward a fast track refurbishment project was undertaken.

This specially designed veterinary facility provides start of the art facilities this included a operation theatres, recovery bays and stables for the donkeys.
